Welcome to your home for the weekend. We hope you settle in, relax and enjoy every moment of your stay with us. Below you’ll find a few useful details about the Château, your room and the weekend ahead. Please take a moment to read through this guide so you have everything you need during your stay.

Facilities

THE CHANDELIER & GARDEN BAR​

The Chandelier Bar, located in the West Wing with easy access from the courtyard, is the main bar and open during events. The Garden Bar, set on the terrace, opens for outdoor celebrations. ​

Opening Hours:​

Fri: The Chandelier bar is open from 18:00 until 22:00

Sat: The Garden Bar opens with the Cocktail Reception. The Chandelier Bar opens after dinner.​

Sun: The Garden Bar is open from 13:00 until 20:00

CINEMA ROOM ​

Located next to the Chandelier Bar. Equipped with Netflix entertainment and DVD's.

THE BILLIARD ROOM

Located on the ground floor of the West Wing of the Château.​

PARKING​

Please use the courtyard for loading and unloading only, then move your vehicle to the car park beside the football pitch. Additional village parking is a 5-minute walk from the Château.

SWIMMING POOL

Featuring a heated outdoor saltwater swimming pool.

Pool Opening Hours

  • Friday: 16:00–20:00

  • Saturday: 09:00–13:00

  • Sunday: 09:00–21:00

The pool is closed outside these hours. When the pool is closed, the safety cover will be fully closed to prevent access.

AIR CONDITIONING​

Please turn off the fan when leaving your room. When in use, keep it on level 2, as running all room fans at full power may cause the Château’s electricity to trip.

On the wedding evening, the Banquet Hall doors will remain closed to keep the dance floor cool. Please access the courtyard via the Chandelier Bar.

STEAMER, IRON & BOARD ​

Steamers are provided in all Château bedrooms. Shared irons and boards are available in the Château West Wing, Coach House dining room and Garden Suite living room and the Maison ground floor. Please use the distilled water provided and return after use.

 

​CHECK–OUT​

Check out of the bedrooms by 10:00 and from the estate by 11:00. When departing, kindly drive to the main entrance to load your car and avoid dragging suitcases across the gravel.

Food & Drinks

CATERING ​

The Château is a fully catered venue, so there's no need for self-catering. Your host will provide catering throughout the events. Please do not take food into the bedrooms as this can attract insects.​

BREAKFAST ​

Located in the banqueting hall:​

Saturday: Brunch is served from 10:30 - 11:30

Sunday: Breakfast is served from 10:00 - 11:00

Monday: A Grab & Go breakfast (if arranged by your host) will be available at checkout from 9:30 in the main entrance.​

ALLERGIES​

We can accommodate most allergies and intolerances with advance notice. If you have an allergy or dietary need, please make yourself known to he chateau team on arrival so we can personally look after you.​

THE PANTRY​

Exclusively for our staying guests, The Pantry offers complimentary drinks and snack during your stay. 

THE BAR​

The Chandelier and Garden bar offer a selection of local wines, champagnes, branded beers, spirits and mixers. ​

WATER​

Tap water is safe to drink (filtered water is provided in the pantry). Bottled water is available to purchase at the bar during bar opening hours.​

TAXI & TRANSPORT​​

It is recommended to book taxis well in advance. Taxis generally come from the nearby city of Angoulême so sharing a taxi where possible with other guests is recommended. Here are some taxi and transport contacts used by past guests:​

Take a high-speed train from Angoulême (approx 25-minute drive from the chateau). Bordeaux city centre is a 30-minute train ride away and Paris is 1h45. Book tickets via Trainline.​

SWIMMING POOL  
​SAFETY & INTERNAL RULES 

Our venue features a heated outdoor saltwater swimming pool equipped with a salt-chlorination system, which generates chlorine from salt to disinfect and maintain the pool water.

The pool is available to all wedding guests throughout the wedding weekend, including both overnight guests and guests attending for the day.

The pool has a minimum depth of 1 metre and a maximum depth of 1.9 metres.

Pool Opening Hours

The pool is available during the following hours:

  • Friday: 16:00–20:00

  • Saturday: 09:00–13:00

  • Sunday: 09:00–21:00

The pool is closed outside these hours.

When the pool is closed, the safety cover will be fully closed to prevent access.

Access to the Pool

The swimming pool is available to all wedding guests during the published opening hours.

Use of the pool is subject to these Internal Rules, the safety instructions displayed at the pool and any instructions given by Venue staff.

No person may use the swimming pool while intoxicated or while under the influence of alcohol, medication or any other substance which may impair their judgement, coordination, ability to swim or ability to respond appropriately in an emergency.

The Venue reserves the right to require a person to cease using the pool where their condition or behaviour presents a safety risk to themselves or others.

No Lifeguard or Dedicated Pool Supervision

No lifeguard or dedicated swimming-pool supervision is provided by the Venue.

Guests use the pool under their own responsibility and must take all reasonable precautions for their own safety.

Children must be accompanied and actively supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Parents and accompanying adults are responsible for the supervision and safety of children in and around the pool.

The presence of Venue staff elsewhere on the property does not constitute supervision of the swimming pool.

Children

Children are permitted to use the pool only when accompanied and actively supervised by a responsible adult. Children must never be left alone in or around the pool.

The responsible adult must remain sufficiently close to the child to intervene immediately if necessary.

Parents and accompanying adults remain responsible for assessing whether a child is able to swim safely and for ensuring that the child complies with all pool rules.

Pool Safety Rules

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests:

  • No diving is permitted.

  • No running around the pool or on the pool edges is permitted.

  • Rough play, pushing, fighting or dangerous behaviour is prohibited.

  • No glassware, glass bottles, glass containers or other breakable glass objects are permitted in the pool area.

  • Sharp objects or items that could cause injury are prohibited in the pool area.

  • Guests must not use the pool while intoxicated or impaired.

  • Children must be accompanied and actively supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

  • The pool may only be used during the published opening hours.

  • Guests must follow all safety notices and instructions displayed at the pool.

  • Guests must comply immediately with reasonable instructions given by Venue staff.

  • Pool safety equipment must not be moved, obstructed, disabled, tampered with or misused.

  • Any accident, injury, dangerous situation or damage must be reported to the Venue immediately.

 

Pool Safety Cover

The pool is equipped with a safety cover.

When the pool is closed, the safety cover is fully closed in order to prevent access to the pool.

The safety cover must never be opened, moved, tampered with or otherwise interfered with by guests.

The safety cover must never be walked on, stood on or sat on.

Guests must never attempt to access the pool when the safety cover is closed.

Temporary Closure

For safety reasons, the Venue may temporarily close the pool or restrict its use.

This may include:

  • bad weather or thunderstorms;

  • technical or mechanical problems;

  • maintenance or repair;

  • water-quality or hygiene concerns;

  • an accident or safety incident;

  • unsafe behaviour;

  • circumstances arising during the wedding requiring access to be restricted; or

  • any other situation in which continued use of the pool may present a risk to guests.

Guests must comply immediately with any temporary closure or restriction and must not attempt to reopen or access the pool.

In the Event of an Accident or Emergency

In the event of an accident, injury or emergency involving the swimming pool:

  1. Alert the Venue immediately: +33 7 45 38 16 30

  2. For emergency services, call 112.

  3. Follow the instructions given by Venue staff and emergency services.

  4. Do not place yourself or others at unnecessary risk.

  5. If evacuation is required, proceed to the Château courtyard, which is the designated assembly point.

  6. Remain at the assembly point until instructed otherwise by Venue staff or emergency services.

Guests should familiarise themselves with the location of the emergency equipment, emergency contact information and designated assembly point.

Important Information for Wedding Guests

The swimming pool is an additional facility provided for guests throughout the wedding weekend during the published opening hours.

It is not a supervised swimming facility and no lifeguard is provided.

Each guest is responsible for their own safety when using the pool. Parents and responsible adults are responsible for the supervision and safety of children in their care.

All guests must comply with these Internal Rules, the safety signage displayed at the pool and any reasonable instructions given by Venue staff.

The wedding couple are responsible for ensuring that all wedding guests are made aware of these pool conditions, particularly the requirement for children to be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
